Women only!

We recently designed a series of special events for women only at an exclusive local residential development.

For the ladies first night, we coordinated a cocktail reception where we served trendy drinks with fun names like “Sassy Señorita” “Fab Tini” and “Pretty in Pink” in vintage Mason jars set against a background of hot pink and purple. The witty-named cocktail menu was presented in a French-style bistro chalkboard. Guests sipped cocktails while being pampered by skilled masseuses.

The following night, for the ladies main dinner, we chose to go beyond predictable schemes and instead designed a sophisticated event where a lady or a Can-Can girl would be right at home. When you hear ‘Moulin Rouge’ you might think of the movie starring Nicole Kidman. But Le Moulin Rouge is a nightclub in Paris. A Moulin Rouge décor is part French and part Bohemian with lush Victorian accents.

The Moulin Rouge-style dinner was served al fresco in a secluded terrace under a romantic artisanal pergola lit with miniature lights. Deep reds, purples and blacks set against an onyx-black table complemented the elegant gold chargers that gave the setting depth and a certain Je ne sais pas quoi...

Moulin Rouge style demands sumptuous, sensuous fabrics so the table was set with a black embroidered table runner with matching napkins tied with gold tassels that set the tone and added the sophistication that gave the evening’s theme style and class.

Red roses and purple anemones surrounded by crystal candleholders wrapped in black lace added to the romantic feel. Light wood chairs further complemented the French Bohemian setting.

The ladies many events concluded with a glamorous cruise on a luxurious yacht. The cruise’s theme was inspired by the movie “Pretty Woman” so we included details that reminded guests of the legendary movie: “Hollywood” and “Rodeo Drive” signs set against a red, blue and black décor embellished with heaps of red roses. Remember when Richard Gere offered Julia Roberts red roses from the limo?

All in all, it was yet another colorful and chic event for our pretty women who enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the Sea of Cortez while nibbling on delicious appetizers and drinks.
