Mandi and Scott are a match made in heaven. This beautiful, friendly, and lovely couple met in 2012, got engaged in December of 2015, and immediately started dreaming of their barefoot Cabo destination wedding.
Event Design by Marianna Idirin team was honored to be part of Mandi and Scott’s wedding celebration, and together with Mandi we helped turn her dreams into even more beautiful reality. Mandi wanted to use natural wood elements, greenery, and ocean color palette, to enhance to beauty of the hotel and surroundings, without being too overwhelming. With that in mind, we played with table linens, napkins, candle holders, details, flowers, and other decor, to express her wishes in an elegant and playful way.
Mandi wore a stunning corseted silk taffeta ball gown with lace applique details by Amsale
. She wore her grandmother's art-deco watch from the 1920s, her father's fraternity pin attached to the pocket of her gown, and custom Lazaro diamond earrings, which were a gift from the groom. The finishing touch was her bouquet of white roses, succulents, greenery, cotton blossoms, and blue hydrangea, all tied with a silk ribbon.
The groom wore a John Varvatos tuxedo paired with a Paul Smith shirt and Gucci bowtie. He also wore Stubbs & Wooten shoes, a vintage Omega Speedmaster watch, and custom jet skull cufflinks by Lazaro, a gift from his bride.
We love how Mandi’s bridesmaids matched the entire vision of her wedding - they wore dresses in lovely ocean-hues. Groomsmen wore black tuxedos with black bowties, adorned with succulent boutonnieres.
At the reception, guests were treated to stunning ocean view, which got painted in pink, red and orange hues during sunset. We decorated the wedding reception area with round wood tables topped with blue linens, and mismatched vintage chairs. For centerpieces, we mixed lush white roses, succulents, and cotton blossoms, and surrounded them by mercury glass candles. Each table was marked with a glass box filled with pale blue blooms.
Mandi and Scott swapped traditional place cards for mini Casomigos tequila bottles with guests names and seating assignments.
