Lunch in Cabo: White & Blue Navy

When my client asked me to coordinate & set up a private lunch at “Maravilla Los Cabos” –a great development under construction in the beautiful Santa Maria Bay-, we thought that it would be a tough challenge: the area is deserted yet but… with an impeccable, nice decoration and the incredible Sea of Cortez as a background, nothing could go wrong!

The event was divided in three different areas –lounge, lunch & play area-, we used the same color palette and décor style,

I chose an elegant L-shaped sofa for the lounge, with a mix of white & blue decorative pillows. a small white wooden table and beautiful flowers with foliage, on a crystal base. I placed two blue and white talavera vases that I bought in San Miguel Allende: a Mexican and chic detail I really liked! This area was on top of a sophisticated teak floor, that extended by a pathway to the lunch area.

A beautiful white table combined with French style chairs, in which we placed white pashminas for the ladies –Cabo can be windy this time of the year! All this under blue handcrafted lamps hanging from a white wooden cabana with fabrics were the perfect frame to an unforgettable lunch for its eight diners.

The set up was complete with blue chargers, white irregular rimmed plates, white linen napkins and a centerpiece with orchids, hydrangea, amaranth in a rustic wooden base was the perfect complement for the table décor.

¿The menu? Everything organic and fresh! Salad with shrimp; fish, chicken or meat; and carrot cake, along with the most exquisite drinks: smoothies, milkshakes, margaritas and mojitos! The menu was specially designed for the event, and was the perfect choice to enjoy on the beach, at noon!

Last, for the kids area I chose a white table, two blue Acapulco chairs and Jenga! They all enjoyed it so much! Next to it, a big white lounge bed for those who wanted to relax under the warm sun of Cabo!  MaravillaA&B3
