Los Cabos is without a doubt a dream destination to celebrate weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions set in exquisite world-class venues. A perfect example: the events we recently designed for a memorable birthday celebration at one of our favorite resorts, the iconic five-star resort, Las Ventanas Al Paraíso. The first of several events began with a cocktail reception at The Plaza - an outdoor venue located at the highest point of the resort that enjoys beautiful, panoramic views of the sea.
We opted for an elegant but light décor - rattan lounges with cushions in white, pale blue and beige to match the spectacular ocean and desert setting. Inviting low tables and white upholstered stools beckoned guests to mingle while they nibbled on exquisite hors’d’oeuvres and delectable drinks. The white wooden pedestals placed around the venue were decorated with buttercups, violet roses, yellow tulips, hydrangeas, ivy and miniature roses - a subtle reminder that spring was in the air.
After the cocktail reception guests were escorted to The Terrace, a private room that opens to a beautiful inlaid-pebble terrace with spectacular ocean views where guests dined outdoors under the star-studded Bajasky
. A selection of Margaritas in trays labeled “’Eat, Drink & Be Happy” - the joyous theme of the multi-day celebration - were set up on our signature grey wood benches.
White benches with blue and light beige cushions, French-style natural wood chairs, some slip covered in white, were set around the table for the more than thirty guests to dine.
One of the must-talked-about details of the dinner’s setting were the lights hanging from the pergola mixed with hand-blown glass lamps of various heights – a chic Mexican touch that delighted guests and provided a sense of place. The floral centerpieces were inspired by the delicate colors of spring and included roses, hydrangeas, tulips and miniature roses in crystal vases surrounded by white and crystal votive candles. A few roses were exquisitely wrapped around driftwood. The food was beautifully presented in unique crystal chargers with a delicate gold trimming – a subtle feminine touch to honor the birthday girl.
